Aloha, from Hawaii!

Aloha Twilight fans,
As you can guess we were in Hawaii today! First we had to fly from Toronto Ontario to Hawaii! I don't know how good our flight was but I hope it was good because we finished first, so is our flight was good we will win. After that we had to find out the name of the location the Japan attacked on the morning of December 7, 1941 and who was the winner. The answer was Pearl Harbor and Japan won. Third,we had to play battleship and it was a good thing I let Elisabeth take the job cause we were done really fast. Forth we had to research who is the Goddess of Volcanoes which is Pele. 5. We learned that there are 5 vowels and 7 consonants in the Hawaiian alphabet. The vowels are " A, E, I, O and U" and the consonants are " H, K, L, M, N, P, and W". 6th, was a fast forward but we did not do that. 7th, we had to travel by boat from the main island of Hawaii to the island of Honolulu, and we were first to get on the boat. After that we had to colour a surfer boy but it all had to be "In the Lines". We were really fast and very neat too, so we did not have to start over. Last but not least we had to find "The Pink Palace of the Pacific". We are now chill'en at a Pink Palace and for me it is a bit to bright because I am more into the always rainy weather of Forks and La Push. This just in. We found out that we finished first but Team NBA got a fast forward and got 20 hours taken off there time so we ended up coming in 2nd.
Here is a picture of our hotel.

Aloha from Hawaii

Aloha Twi-hards,
We just finished the race-we did really well- in Hawaii. Right now, Kylee and I are soaking up the sun on the beach, watching the other teams run around like crazy. I'm under an umbrella-you know, vampires and sunlight= sparkles- and Kylee's working on her tan. Okay, enough laying around, I'll tell you what we did. We had to get a flight from Pearson International in Toronto, to Kona International in Hawaii. We then had to find out what happened at Pearl Harbor and who won the "battle" which was Japan. Next we played some good-old-fashioned battle ship, we had to sink two of the other player's battleship's. We then traveled to Mount Kilauea to find out the name of the volcano goddess. Her name is Pele, and I knew her name but at the time, it escaped me so we had to Google it. We got to learn some Hawaiian by finding the 12 consonants and vowels in the Hawaiian alphabet (7 consonants, 5 vowels). Then there was a fast forward which we skipped. Next we traveled via boat to Honolulu, and there we found some surfer boys who needed colouring, we had to colour them in nice and neat. And now, we're relaxing at the Pink Palace on the Pacific.

Kylee and I found this great hula festival we were going to go to tomorrow. It's called the Hula Invitational Festival. 16 countries from all over come to Hawaii to compete... Hula style. What a great day, all in all we think we came in first.
Thanks for the support and for reading our blog!

This Just in!!!

This is your Breaking Dawn (the movie) update. They have finished filming about half of Breaking Dawn part 1, which has been expected to make over half a billion dollars at the box office! They are now filming in Vancouver, Canada. Before filming in Vancouver the cast and crew filmed on an island (Isle Esme) in Brazil, they filmed the very anticipated "honeymoon" part of the film. RPattz confirms that the "birth scene" where Reneesme is born has been shot."Yeah I did it" he confirmed "chewed it up, and spat it out!" Another update: Be sure to cheer us on for our next race this Thursday, you can read the blog to find out all of the details and must-see destinations on our next post!

Last Practice

Hey there all you Twilight fans,
The Acropolis
So today we traveled from Toronto, Ontario to Athens, Greece. When Kylee and I stepped off the plane, our jaws dropped. It's so beautiful here, the water is a crisp light blue, the people are very friendly, the climate is nice for tanning (well, for Kylee, vampires don't like the sun). Any way, back to the race. After our flight, we had to find the Temple of Zeus. This temple has been around for a while- It was constructed in 131 A.D, and is still standing today... well most of it- most of the remaining temple is just pillars and a floor, and a few steps, but the history of it is amazing. After that, we had to find the two rules of the ancient Greek sport, the Pankration. It's a combination of wrestling and boxing, and the only rules are: no biting, and no eye gouging. That means, it's okay if you rip some guy's arm off, as long as you didn't use your teeth! We also learned about a Greek instrument called the bouzouki. The bouzouki is a lot like a mandolin or guitar. After that, we had to try our luck, sadly we rolled a 41 which means that someone (Kylee) got sick from drinking sour milk (I told her not to drink it, but no she thought it was fine). A few other things happened and in the end... we got SECOND PLACE! (woohoo).

 The Greek flag
After the race, me and Kylee abandoned the hotel and went sight-seeing. We found this beautiful temple called the Acropolis. The Acropolis is a famous ancient Greek defence system. The word "Acropolis" can be translated to mean "citadel". This amazing ancient work of art is a great demonstration of ancient architect and skill. Greece is an amazing country, we will definitely return to Athens some time soon.

Amazing Race Greece!

  Hey Twi-hard people,
We just finished the Amazing Race and I think we did well. Here is what we did. First we had to fly from Toronto, Ontario to Athens, Greece. Our flight time was good, we got the earliest flight. Second we had to find out the name of a picture which was "The Temple of Olympian Zeus". Also if we could find the exact same picture as it we could get 20 minutes off our time. Good thing we found it! Third, we found out that Greece was the birthplace of the Olympics. Some of the games were Chariot racing, the pentathlon, running, wrestling and boxing. Another event is called "pankration". We had to find the only 2 rules in that sport and they were no biting or eye gouging. Forth was a roadblock. I was really happy because it was the first time I got to do a roadblock this year. We has to use a Frisbee and knock down 3 bowling pins. I got really lucky and got it the first time! 6th we were to watch a video but it was in Greek so we did not understand it but our best friends -Team Bubble Gum Bling- did know the answer and they told us. Thank you!!! Next was a chance and we got bad luck but it was not really that bad. I just drank some sour milk. 8th we had to find out was the largest island was in Greece and that was Crete. Then to finish this week we had to find the ship captain  and take a Greek island cruise. Well we on our cruise I was on my laptop and found a very interesting fact. Did you know... that 12 million people around the world speak Greek???

Amazing Race: B.C!

 Dear Twi-hards,
This is Kylee Black here to tell you we just finished the Amazing Race! My partner Elisabeth Cullen has talked about our first 5 stages of the race so I am going to tell on! On our 6th leg of the race we had a Roadblock, Elisabeth took this one and it went by really fast. She had to go deep sea fishing and catch a halibut. Elisabeth and I have been to B.C before because we tried to get onto the set of Twilight to meet some stars, sadly we did not succeed. The 7th leg we had to find a referee and score a goal in hockey. It took us a while but finally I got it . Then we had to find out what Canada's national sports were in
1994. The answer was hockey and lacrosse. After that it was time to finish the race.

We had to find the Fairmont Chateau, Whistler. This hotel is ranked number 1 ski and golf resort in Canada. Once we got there we checked in then went out looking around and we saw this really cool bear. It is called the spirit bear and it is the provincial animal.

Amazing Race: B.C

(March 3rd, 2011)
Hey there Twi-hards,
So today was our first race. It went well, we traveled to wonderful B.C Canada (which is very close to Forks). First we had to take the Canadian Immigration test, which took us a while, but we got it. Next we had to find Stanley Park, that one was easy. Stanley Park is full of those pesky mosquito's, that's the thing with us vampires, we have no blood, so they don't like me. But Kylee on the other hand, they just love wolf blood. After the swatting, we had a yield, and thanks to Team Losers who yielded us and set us back 2 hours! We did lots more after that, like having to score a goal in hockey (which took us a long time). After the race, my team mate and I went sight-seeing and found a very cool tourist attraction you should check out. It's called the Capilano Suspension Bridge. This bridge was built in 1889, and is 135 meters off the ground! If your someone who's not so fond of heights, maybe you shouldn't try it, but thriller-seekers like us should defiantly try it. Another cool fact, did you know most of the Twilight Saga was shot in Vancouver. Kylee and I tried to fly to Vancouver to meet and greet some Twilight stars a few years ago when they were filming the first movie Twilight, but it didn't turn out that great.  Oh shoot, I've got to run I've got a shift at the Forks Blood Transfusion Centre.
Fangs a lot for the support and reading our blog!
Love,
Elisabeth Cullen.
