Hey Twi-Hard Fans,
Sorry we have not blogged in a while but there was not anything really exciting till this week. So this week we went to South Africa. There were only 5 teams left this week and now 3 remain. Us being one of them. Team Twilight and Team Sumo wrestlers teamed up and helped each other though the whole race. I am starting in the middle of the race a bit but we had to take a quiz on soccer. Good thing liz knew some soccer not a lot but some. ( It took us a few trys). Anyways what got her motivated was that there was a yield ahead and we could not get yielded whatever we do. So we were the first ones done the quiz and at stage 7 ( I think). we decided to yield team French Sailors because they were in first place. So we did. after that we had to play chance and liz and got good luck and what had put us in first place. We rolled 33 and it said 15 minuets taken off of our time! So then we arrived at the hotel to find out Team Sumo wrestlers arrived first but... because we got 15 minuets taken off our time we came in first!!!!! It's sad to say we had to eliminate 2 teams this week and both teams are the ones who got yielded. Good Bye Team French Sailors and the ones who finally lived up to their name Team Losers!!!

Amazing Race: Tokyo
Hey Twi-hards,
My apologizes. I haven't had a chance to blog, the blood transfusion centre in Forks was overwhelmed! Any way, we traveled from Oslo to Tokyo this week. After that we traveled all the way to Mount Fuji -me and Kylee were cracking apple jokes the whole time! Mount Fuji is one of Japan's most famous tourist sites and it has an amazing view. We had sing to sing some karaoke and lets just say... Kylee and I should start a band, we sound awesome! After that we traveled to the Imperial Palace, it was so beautiful. And then we watched sumo wrestling. That was... interesting. After learning how to wrestle sumo style! Then we went to the Memorial Museum of Japan, this museum was built in dedication to the famous atomic bombing that happened during World War 2. Then we had to find this fish people eat in Japan. The blow fish is extremely fatal and poisonous, if not cut correctly you could die eating it. Now we're resting at the Peninsula Hotel in Japan.
Most of you probably know that southern Japan was hit with a massive earthquake and tsunami. It is also dealing with the explosion at the nuclear power plant. Japan's economy is strong and Japan will get back on it's feet soon, but please donate to this cause. If your looking for something to do or see in Tokyo, visit the Tokyo Tower, it looks a lot like the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Thanks for all the love and support (go Team Twilight!)

The Amazing Race: Tokyo Japan
Hey Twi- Hard fans,
Yesterday we had the amazing race and we came in 2nd. First we had to fly from Oslo Norway to Tokyo Japan. We ended up getting a pretty good flight but not the best. Next we had to find one of Japan's famous tourist sites. The answer was Mount Fuji. 3rd. It was time to sing one of the most popular karaoke songs of all time. That was YMCA and we had to dance around to get our next clue. We did that in no time. After that we had to find the famous palace in Tokyo. Answer was The Imperial palace. Then we had to go to the smart board and watch a video about sumo wrestlers. There were 3 questions in 1 clue, they were how do you win a match, how long does a match usually last and how you can determine who the best sumo wrestlers are. the 3 answers were, Force his opponent to touch the ground with any part of body, they usually last about 1 min and they wear large ropes. 6. It was a roadblock. we had to play a sumo game agents a sumo wrestler. I played twice and got it. Then we had to find out the famous memorial museum in Japan, and what date and event occurred during World War Two. the answers are, Shime Peace Mem 8. Then we had to find out what fish people in japan eat that they eat but came be very poisonous if not prepared correctly. The answer is a blow fish. Now we had to find the Peninsula Hotel in Tokyo. It was very easy. Now me and Elisabeth are hanging at the hotel till our next race. Here is 1 interesting fact about Japan that was not in the race. Did you know Japan is More then 70% mountains and has more then 200 volcano's.

Amazing Rcae: Norway and Sweden
Hey there Twi-Hard fans,
we just finished the Amazing Race Norway and a bit of Sweden and we came in 7th. First we had to find out what the capital city of Norway is and the answer is Oslo. Next we leered about reindeer racing. After watching a video we had to draw and label a picture of what reindeer racing is and how it works. Then we found out the Norway is famous for fjords, and had to find out what fjord was. The answer is steep cliff of sides. I think by that time we were in the lead and we were giving all of our answers to team bubble gum blig. Next we were in Trollveggen and had to find out what part of Norwegian it was. Answer is Trolls. 5.We had to find their two most famous sports and one of then is in biathlon. the real question was what two events are part of the biathlon. Answer is Cross County Skiing and riffle shooting. 6. Is where we went down hill.it was a detour. We first had to run a lap of the school then I threw ma been bag at a bolling pin and missed so we had to count to 50 then run again. We gave up on that idea then went to the computer to play the game in the Internet, and let me be the first to say it was really hard. We did not get that one so we went and ran one more lap. This time Lizzie threw it and got it but she had to do it again and missed so back outside we went. We came back in and we were done so then we got to move on. 7. CHANCE CHANCE CHANCE!!! We got good luck for once. 8. we were tied with a couple of teams at this point and we had to play a game on the computer and we had to do 4 laps. It took us a while but I Finlay did it!!! 9. We had to find the worlds famous ice hotel named Jukkasjarvi. Jukkasjarvi is a very beautiful hotel. Some interesting facts about Sweden. Sweden remained neutral throughout World war 1 and 2. Sweden is the 3rd largest EU county in land area. They have a lot of different baked goods. I will keep you tuned until next week in The Amazing Race!

Amazing Race: Norway and Sweden
Hey Twi-hards,
Now, here is where it all went "down hill". We had to do a biathlon. But first, let me tell you something about Kylee. Kylee doesn't like to run. I'm serious, she doesn't. So what did we have to do? Run. Kylee walked a lot so we were slow, and then we decided not to run but to play biathlon game on the computer, which we failed. So she wanted to run... Again. So we ran then got to a thing where you have to knock down some markers and we missed. So we ran again. And we missed. Then we ran but made it! We were really behind (in last place actually) and we really needed to catch up. After the whole biathlon thing we had to role dice in "Chance". We rolled a 31 which meant that our "aching backs" weren't "aching" anymore. After that we had to ride some snowmobiles! We had to do 4 laps of the track to get our next clue. Finally, we traveled to the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi, Sweden. Boy, I'm telling you we're so close to getting eliminated.
Wish us luck, we're going to need it!

Reindeer Racing! |
Wow, what a stressful race! Kylee was freaking out and then there's me, the calm one. Any way, this time we traveled to Norway and Sweden. First, we where in Norway, so we had to find the capital of Norway which is Oslo. Next we had to watch some reindeer racing, then label a picture of what you need for reindeer racing. After that we had to find a fjord, which is a famous sheer cliff in Norway. We then traveled to the lovely towns of: Trollveggen, Trollhatten, Trollstigen, and Trollheimen. Now, you may notice a pattern, notice how every name starts with the word "troll" that's because these towns where named after trolls, a famous part of Norwegian folklore.
Now, here is where it all went "down hill". We had to do a biathlon. But first, let me tell you something about Kylee. Kylee doesn't like to run. I'm serious, she doesn't. So what did we have to do? Amazing Race: London
Big Ben |
So today we traveled to London, England. First of all, it actually wasn't we it was I because Kylee got a really bad case of fleas so she couldn't participate. I thought being in London was very cool because Carslisle Cullen was from London until he was transformed into a vampire; Kylee on the other hand, didn't really care because she was itching like crazy. For my first clue, I had to find out more on the British Monarchy. I had to find out who was the head of the Monarchy (that one was easy-Queen Elizabeth II) and how long has she resigned as Queen, which was since February 6th 1952. After that I had to find the London Eye, the largest ferris wheel in Europe. I also had to find out when it was officially opened. I also had to find out how to make a 99 flake. A 99 flake is basically soft serve ice cream in a cone with a flake in the middle. So, I then had to eat one- I didn't really want to because vampires don't eat food, but we can if necessary. After that I traveled to Stone Henge where I had to make a replica of it, it was harder then is sounds. A few tries later I finally got it and moved on, only to find that Team Rappers had yielded us and 2 hours was added to our time.
Now, this is were my acute vampire senses come in handy. We had to play rugby. It was easy, and I passed with flying colours. And from there, we had to find a picture of the Thames River and the London Eye. So all in all, I finished in 9th place. And I would like to tell Team Lost and Team Rappers that it was too bad you guys got eliminated and that you guys did an awesome job! I found a few things in London that we thought we should tell you. As you know, the Royal wedding is approaching, that will be something big, but sadly we won't be there for that. I also found the medieval banquet Hall and had a great meet-and-greet with King Henry the 8th. It was very cool. They had the whole place dressed up to look like medieval times with candles, tapestries and everything! I heard the food was good but I couldn't eat it.
Well, that's the Amazing Race London,
